Hey there! My name is Peter Hardy.

I grew up in Chicago, Illinois and after getting to spend 5 incredible years in Oakland, California I moved right back! I spent a decade in the art world as a fine art technician and was exposed to some beyond amazing things. At the beginning of 2019 I began taking an interest in computer science and programming so I decided to enroll in a 6 month Data Analytics Bootcamp at UC Berekeley Extension. The bootcamp took place during the evenings and weekends so I could continue to work full time at my current job to support my family. While gaining my data analytics certificate I fell in love with Python, Backend Development, Databases, Flask, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript to name just a few.

I currently work full time as a Cloud Automation Engineer and could not be happier. I get to leverage the power of the cloud to build business solutions on a daily basis. Working in an Agile and Scrum environment has helped me learn how to prioritize and plan my projects to completion. I have within the past year been able to obtain two Associate level AWS certifications, a handful of Azure Fundamentals certifications as well as a foundational certification in Splunk. I plan to continue pushing myself every chance I get and am currently learning more about Containerization, Pipelines and Terraform.

When I am not learning how to become better at programming and web design, I love spending my time creating art through drawing and printmaking. I also very much enjoy cooking with my wife & hanging out with my daughters every chance I get. These last couple of years I have felt so reenergized and ready to take on many new challenges. I have a lot of projects in the making that with my newly obtained skills are finally at the point of becoming tangible. Stay tuned for more and feel free to reach out at any time!
